Description
Depth: 12.25" | Long ago, this elegant rosewood box was used by a Qing-dynasty lady to store her favorite pieces of jewelry, each drawer filled with jades, pearls, coral necklaces, and hair pins. The front is adorned with delicate floral mother-of-pearl inlay and small quadrilobe mirrors. The box opens to reveal a large rectangular mirror and several interior drawers of varying depths, all decorated with additional inlay. Fine brass hardware accents the exterior with rich patina and offers further opportunity for embellishment.
