Pair of Art Nouveau Hand Painted Sculptural Ceramic Vases by Royal Bonn
-
Description
This sophisticated pair of ceramic vases were realized by the esteemed producer, Royal Bonn, in Germany, circa 1900. They feature conical bodies; cylindrical necks and sculptural handles and bases. The exteriors of the bodies have been hand-painted in a Baroque palate of earth tones (mottled hues of muted rose, slates and dove grays) with floral details. These vases look at once of another era, and completely contemporary, testifying to the indelible appeal of great design. As a result, they would be a winning addition to an étagère, or side/console table in any style of interior from traditional to modern. While they are perfectly functional vases- ideal for storing flowers- they are also objet d'art in their own right, sure to beautify any room that they grace. Excellent condition.
Germany, circa 1900. -
