An extraordinary monumental lidded urn in Royal Copenhagen crackle ware, richly embellished with paintings of sea life by the great porcelain artist Olsen Thorkild. Gold glazed highlights. Beautiful bronze lid with cast cockle shell handle, by Royal Copenhagen sculptor Knud Anderson. An exceptionally rare piece, both in its truly monumental scale and in its elaborate and elegant decorative scheme.
