Description
This beautifully detailed and well formed Mid-Century Modernist Ceramic Vase by Johanne Gerber for Royal Copenhagen originates from Denmark, Circa 1960. Features a well proportioned rounded form in ceramic with stunning glazed details in an array of hard edge geometric shapes depicting sea life, rendered in shades of tan, white, and burnt umber. Nested rectangular forms house areas of detail and imagery, rewarding viewing with unique and dynamic designs throughout the surface of the vase. The piece tapers towards the bottom and top edges, with a interior in glazed white ceramic, slightly more reflective than the matte surface of the rest of the vase. A lovely accent piece with stunning details ideal for flowers or for display in its own right, this vase by Johanne Gerber for Royal Copenhagen is an excellent example of Mid-Century Modernist Danish ceramics. Will style beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal Interiors. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
