Description
Amazing abstract terracotta sculpture by Serge Vandercam . Manufacture at S. Giorgio in Albisola in the early 1960. Signed under the base "San Giorgio Albisola".
Manifattura San Giorgio: Vandercam is one of the "big names, both Italian and foreign" who have worked in Albisola. At the Ceramiche San Giorgio factory, artists such as Lucio Fontana, Wifredo Lam, Asger Jorn, and Agenore Fabbri have experimented with ceramics, creating new forms of expression. His ceramic works created in this art center are well documented and present in collections and exhibitions. -
