The Marco Vase presented at ththe Venice Biennale in 1962, won the prestigious prize the “Compasso d’Oro” Award in 1962,

Initially it is formed in a wooden mold,then subsequently it is squashed by hand to give it its unique profile. S

ergio Asti 's method of combining industrial mold formed glass followed by traditional hand work resulted in new concepts and forms in the making of Murano Glass.

The vase is cased glass witth a cream colored exterior and a white interior.
