The cylindrical body is embellished with individually applied, thorn-like glass elements that project from the surface, creating a sculptural three-dimensional effect. The contrast between the delicate pink body and deep green applications emphasizes the transparency, depth and handcrafted character of the glass.

The applied decoration recalls the traditional Murano rostrato technique, in which hot glass is worked and pulled outward to create raised sculptural elements.
