Thonet Vienna Art Deco Bentwood Clothing Valet / Dressing Stand, Austria, 1920s
-
Description
An elegant Art Deco gentleman’s valet or dressing stand from the 1920s, designed and crafted by Gebrüder Thonet Vienna in Austria. This piece is made of bentwood beech in a beautiful dark brown color (in reality it appears more brown than the black shown in the images). Featuring a coat hanger and a pant bar, it is designed to hold a jacket, shirt, pants, tie, and a pair of shoes on its base. The stand is signed on the underside with the original Thonet label. It has been lovingly and expertly restored and is therefore in very good condition.
