Favrile Glass Paperweight Vase

This exceptional Tiffany Favrile Glass Paperweight Vase is decorated with a motif of Arrowhead, or Sagittaria latifolia, a common wetland plant that was routinely used as a reference for the artists and artisans working under the direction of Louis Comfort Tiffany.

The vase was fumed on the interior, allowing for a subtle golden iridescent effect to shimmer through the translucent vase in reflected light. The entire surface of the vase features a decorative motif of thin vines in magenta glass which stretch from the base to the rim, interspersed with a series of large opaque triangular leaves with undulating edges in variegated green glass, all cased in a thick layer of clear glass.
