Victorian gilt inkstand desk set in the Gothic style

This wonderful inkstand is a fine piece of Victorian period design. The stand in designed in the Victorian Gothic style, with the body of the piece modelled architecturally. The stand is raised on a plinth surrounded by a pierced gallery, with the main body moulded with trefoil arched colonnades topped with pierced rose windows. The covers for the inkwells are similarly adorned and pierced. The inkstand comprises two wells, four pen holders, and a sander.
