Description
Folk art snake made from naturally aged/rusted bottle caps stacked and strung on wire to mimic the reptile's sinuous form (ca. 1920s/30s, USA).
Features hand-carved/painted wooden head and rattle details with a protruding metal tongue.
Snake has been coiled and mounted to a painted green octagonal base, so uncoiled dimensions are not provided.
Mounted specs are: H: 6" x L: 12" x D: 12"
Wear present consistent with age (patina and rust to bottle caps and scuffs/paint losses to wooden elements). -
