Description
VladimÃr David for Jihokera Bechyne Zodiac Tile Scales / Libra. Czech Republic, mid 20th century. This is a great mid-century studio pottery tile depicting the Zodiac sign of the Scale / Libra. It was made by the pottery workshop Johokera from the town Bechyne in Czech Republic and is designed by pottery artist Vladimir David. The depicted scene is a bit simple, but elegant at the same time. It is a scale / libra seen from the front. The colors are warm and the underside of the scale is beautifully made with a flared base. It was part of a series of pottery tiles made for all the different Zodiac signs. We have several of these studio pottery tiles available - also one with the scorpion and one for the fishes zodiac sign. Great vintage condition with no faults. You can either place it against or on the wall, depending on your own wishes.
