Sculptural fruit basket by Werkstätten Carl Auböck made of curved brass rods held between two hammered brass end pieces. The open wire construction forms an elegant, boat-shaped silhouette, giving the object a light and almost floating appearance while remaining structurally strong. The contrast between the polished brass wires and the textured hammered terminals is characteristic of the Auböck workshop, where simple materials were shaped into refined, architectural forms. The rhythmic lines create a sense of movement, making the basket appear as much a sculpture as a functional household object. Patina to brass and minor wear consistent with age and use.
