Rare Carl Auböck Coat Rack With Hat Rack, Wardrobe, Brass, Walnut & Beech, 1950s
-
Description
An elegant modernist wall-mounted coat rack from the 1950s. An original and old vintage object, designed and executed by the Austrian architect and designer Carl Auböck. This is a unique version, which has an additional integrated hat rack. This is a rare and most probably „one-of-a-kind“ piece. Its frame is made of different woods, the side parts are walnut and the slats are beech. The hat rack is made of black-finished brass and the screws are also black. It is equipped with eight „S-shaped“ solid brass hooks, five in black and three in brass. They can be positioned randomly on the rows. The coat rack is in very good condition with marginal patina.
