Western Apache polychrome olla
12 3/4" diameter x 10 1/2" high
willow, devil's claw on a rod foundattion
circa 1890-1910
ex: Private Collection
excellent condition with a dark patina. There are some scattered missing stitches

This Apache olla has a wonderful size and design with images of dogs and horses traveling around the basket beneath the neck of the basket. It thus is pictorial, always a desirable feature in Western Apache baskets. -
