Description
These William Spratling candlesticks were hand crafted in Taxco Mexico. They are fine examples of Sprartling's Ranchero style. They are signed with Spratling's mark on the underside. William Spratling’s unique blending of traditional Mexican Colonial, Ranchero and Pre-Columbian designs with modern forms have created a place for him amongst the Masters of 20th Century Modern Silver world wide. Numerous books have been written either by or about him and he was the subject of the film, “The Man From New Orleans”, in 1948.
