Description
This exceptionally large Ikora vase, marked on the underside, was manufactured by the famous German company WMF, a firm celebrated for its important role in early twentieth century decorative arts and innovative metalwork. Standing an impressive 26 inches high and 12 inches wide, the vase has a commanding architectural presence that makes it far more than a decorative object. Its strong scale, elegant profile, and restrained surface treatment give it a bold modern character that fits beautifully within both Art Deco and modernist interiors.
The design is simple, refined, and visually striking, with a sophisticated two tone silver and copper finish accented by linear patterning that gives the surface movement and depth. That balance of minimal ornament and strong form is exactly what makes Ikora pieces so desirable. This vase offers both decorative impact and historical interest, combining sculptural scale with the quality and innovation long associated with WMF. An important statement piece, it brings a dramatic and polished presence to any serious collection or interior. - More Information
