Description
Depth: 10.5" | This conical woven hat originates from 19th century China and is expertly crafted entirely of bamboo. The outside consists of slivers of bamboo woven together with rattan strips, secured by an inner lining with a rattan basket weave and a strong rattan coil at the base. These were originally in widespread use by Qing Dynasty farmers but evolved into a more sturdy and rugged design when adopted by China’s Imperial Army.
