A palatial 17th century Flemish tapestry depicting Daris at constantinople tapestry. This epic Roman soldier historical scene having rearing horses in the foreground with the famed emperors rippling body having a turned head as he looks away in disgust. This wonderful tapestry still attains a great deal of silk and is in extremely fine condition considering its age.
The previous owner purchase this tapestry in Sothebys in NYC some twenty years ago for $60,000 plus the hammer commission. - More Information
