This antique handwoven wool Agra rug features an ivory field with an overall design of light purple and shaded brown dense floral and palmette vine around a column of similarly colored vase motifs issuing floral motifs and part palmettes, the open spandrels similar, in a broad fox-brown border of ivory palmettes linked by meandering floral vine between light purple and shaded ivory floral vine stripes, plain outer shaded ivory stripe.
