This antique Kirman rug dates back to circa 1920 and is hand-knotted out of the high-quality wool that carpets of this type are known for. The color palette features beige, blue and brown. This is a perfect specimen of the renowned Kirman style of Persian rugmaking. The intricate design of the main field features a subtle lattice pattern, which can be seen in the arrangement of the rosettes. The main field’s pattern is predominantly botanical, with acanthus leaves, palmettes and floral motifs. Authentic and eye-pleasing, this Persian carpet has all the excellence the Kirman style has to offer.
