Tabriz rugs are one of the most famous types of Persian carpets due to their exotic beauty and superior quality of the weave. Handmade of the highest quality wool circa 1900, this over hundred years old rug is everything one might want in a Persian carpet. The color palette, carefully composed by a skilled artisan, contains a tasteful mix of various shades of browns and grays which complement each other beautifully. The pattern, despite being a great example of classic Persian elegance, is surprisingly modern, making it a great choice for any type of interior. As all Tabriz antique kilim rugs, this one lacks a medallion in the center, instead sporting a rather intricate all-over design, featuring a floral motif and complex lace-like elements which bring everything together. Although the pattern's border has the same color palette as the central field, it has a different design - beautiful flowers, curling and climbing over the edge.
