Tabriz is one of the oldest and most renowned weaving centers in the world. This antique Persian rug, made circa 1900, is a classic example of Tabriz craftsmanship. This early 20th century Persian Tabriz carpet has midnight blue field with an enlarged palmette and flowering vinery trellis overall within a caramel border of dense stylized palmettes and vinery.In terms of execution, this antique carpet is second to none. It was carefully hand-knotted of the finest wool by a skilled artisan who ensured its supreme quality and absolute uniqueness. Under the condition of proper maintenance, the rug will serve its owners for generations without any signs of wear.
