Hand knotted in Nepal
This rug finds its inspiration from the delicate and evolving patterns formed by the flight of the migrating birds. From afar their graceful and perpetual movement draws beautiful shapes made of multiple tiny dots. The rug suggest a notion of something free yet synchronized, peacefully moving or suddendly changing direction.
All Atelier Fevrier rugs are made under strict Fair Trade standards and environmentally friendly work methods.
Other dimensions and colors on request.
Founders of Atelier Fevrier, Florian Pretet and Isha Mukhia Pretet design together outstanding rugs, skillfully hand knotted in Nepal. Their pieces are the epitome of contemporary art fused with traditional craftmanship. A graduate from the parisian fashion school Studio Berçot, Florian Pretet is a French designer. He worked several years for Hermes that led him to Kathmandu. Through Atelier Fevrier, he breathes life into his drawings, translating them into beautiful design pieces. Born and raised between Darjeeling and Kathmandu, where traditions are the culture cornerstone, Isha Mukhia Pretet is a keen entrepreneur with a strong love for fashion and crafts. She lived in Nepal for 15 years where her work experience and her exposure to vernacular techniques brought forward her fascination for traditional crafts have been passed along for generations, surrounding her throughout her life.
Atelier Février provide exclusive Rugs and Carpets for the luxury Orient Express train. -
