This antique, knotted blue Persian rug is made out of wool and was made around 1920. Its color palette includes beige, blue, brown, green, red and coral. The border is beige, enclosed within two blue perimeters, with the inner perimeter enclosing a light blue-green main field. Every individual field of color on this antique carpet is decorated by intricate patterns of motifs, employing contrasting colors of red, blue. The main field itself has a grid pattern of botanical motifs, with a central medallion. This rug’s geometric, rectilinear character will bring a sense of order and harmony to an interior.
