Description
Praised for their beautiful designs, Kirman rugs are considered to be one of the most sought-after types of antique Persian rugs. Their natural elegance combined with luxuriously soft piles makes Persian rugs true treasures of Middle East. The reason why we can appreciate the marvelous designs of antique Persian rugs weaving decades after it was created, is its astonishing quality. Made with natural fibers, local wool, and dyes, antique rugs often have a very high knot density, making them much more durable and nice to touch.
This stunning Persian rug was woven by a skilled artisan in early 20th century, circa 1900. Made in Kiriman style, the rug boasts a stunning pattern, which could not be found anywhere else. The main field is decorated with a dense allover trellis of thick leafy vines and floral motifs. Entire design is framed by a floral spray border of almost unearthly beauty. This antique Persian rug's design is a visual feast for the eye, filling spectators with nothing but admiration and longing. While its size, 10'2" × 13'8" (310 × 417 cm), might seem intimidating for some, it will be a perfect match for more spacious types of interiors, especially those in dire need of some classic elegance of an antique Persian rug.
We would like to encourage you to browse through Doris Leslie Blau's grand collection of antique rugs, featuring some of the most stunning pieces ever made. Each and every of out authentic antique rugs is bound to charm you and your family! -
