Authentic Turkish Sivas Handmade Wool Beige Rug

$ 95,000
  • Description
    Turkish Sivas Rug, an early 20th century antique Turkish rug, Circa: 1930, Origin: Turkey. This magnificent Turkish rug from Sivas is the courtliness itself. Everything in it amuses-from its impressive size, through the elegant color palette, to the abundant pattern. The all-over design is inspired with Persian and French baroque influences. Dense floral motifs are sprouting out of ornate vases, placed neatly in rows-all creates a mesmerizing, almost hypnotizing effect. Only a high knot density could have provided such minuteness of details. The colors are toned, kept mostly in shades of beige, bronze and taupe, however there are surprising accents of blue, grey and black . The abrash effect is visible due to the fact, the carpet was made with an exquisite quality wool and dyed with natural dyes. Its delicate, luxurious pile will satisfy even the most demanding connoisseurs of palace elegance.
