Although presently made, the rug carries a traditional pattern of opulent floral medallions, surrounded by colorful cloud bands. The palette of many contrasting colors, like red, green, pink, yellow, ivory and beige against dark brown background, is one of the most characteristic elements of Bessarabian rug design.
