Contemporary David Delfín Green Hand-Knotted Wool And Silk Rug, Spain 2005

This Spanish rug was designed by David Delfín (1970-2017) in 2005. It's not a re-edition; it was made during the designer’s lifetime. Its olive-green field is punctuated by a deep red cross-like form and the German words “zeige deine wunde” (“show your wound”), arranged across pale rectangular panels. The graphic composition gives the piece the presence of an artwork while retaining the warmth and texture of a hand-knotted rug.

Made from 50% New Zealand wool and 50% Chinese silk, with a cotton warp and weft. The combination of wool and silk adds subtle variation to the surface and brings out the contrast between the colours and lettering.

Measurements: 250 × 200 cm

Every item LA Studio offers is checked by our team of 10 craftsmen in our in-house workshop. Special restoration or reupholstery requests can be done. Lighting can be electrified to the required voltage.
