Contemporary Jordi Labanda Black Hand-Knotted Wool And Silk Rug, Spain 2005

Designed by Jordi Labanda in 2005, this Spanish rug translates his distinctive illustration style into a textile composition. Against a black background, an elegant hand with red nails holds a rose beside a vivid red heart. A pale turquoise and cream border frames the scene, while Labanda’s signature appears at the upper right.

The rug is hand-knotted from 30% New Zealand wool and 70% Chinese silk, with a cotton warp and weft. The high silk content gives the surface a soft sheen that complements the bold colours and clean lines of the design.

Every item LA Studio offers is checked by our team of 10 craftsmen in our in-house workshop. Special restoration or reupholstery requests can be done. Lighting can be electrified to the required voltage.
