Doris Leslie Blau Collection Abstract Blue Sea, Sand Beige Handmade Silk Runner

$ 11,000
  • Description
    The beauty of this contemporary runner is undeniable, but where lies its source? Is it the superb craftsmanship? Or maybe ingenious design? Or maybe... something else. Hand-knotted using the highest quality silk available, the rug has a luxurious luster to it, a feature that certainly draws the eye. Whimsical shapes dancing on the pile look like delicate smudges of paint in the water, ethereal and elegant. The color palette accompanying it seems to highlight this similarity. Deep blues slowly change into white and gray, with a bit of yellow-green hiding somewhere on the edges. Doris Leslie Blau carries an exceptional collection of original modern rugs in many styles and materials. Contemporary hand-made rugs are a bridge throughout history, they are the fruit of the constant evolution of the weaving craft that has accompanied men since the dawn of civilization.
