Description
The design of this modern rug draws from traditional weaving craft – one may find there Moroccan influences – yet it is adjusted to the latest interior decorating trends. The main field, divided into sections and carrying an allover zigzag pattern, is embraced by a simple, patternless border. A zigzag is a popular kilim motif known as Su Yolu, which symbolizes running water – a very scarce and precious resource for nomadic tribes roaming the deserts. The color palette of black and beige with grey accents makes the rug versatile enough to be placed in a wide variety of décors. This modern flat weave rug was carefully hand-woven out of the high-quality wool by a skilled artisan which ensured its high quality. If properly maintained, it will serve its owners for generations without the slightest signs of wear.
