Description
Nowadays more and more designers find themselves inspired by antique rugs . As a result, traditional classic motifs appear on contemporary rugs woven all around the world. Oushak rugs are traditionally classified as Anatolian, meaning that they come from Anatolia in Turkey. The earlier types of Turkish Oushak carpets, are often called "Lotto carpets"and "Holbein carpets", as they appeared in the paintings by Lorenzo Lotto and Hans Holbein the Younger, showing that even in the past people were utterly fascinated with their mysterious beauty and vivacious color palettes. This gorgeous contemporary rug is a dream come true of any art lover. It was woven with great care and dedication, which can be easily seen in the high quality of its weave. Rug's size, 11'7"× 15'3"(353 × 465 cm), makes it a perfect addition to spacious interiors and households. The design of this modern carpet was undoubtedly inspired by antique rugs from Turkey. It depicts a beautiful floral composition, framed by a very decorative frame, which displays the same motif. Color palette accompanying this design, however, looks very modern. Subtle shades of blue, beige and brown help to highlight all the best features of this unforgettable composition. Doris Leslie Blau's collection of high quality antique rugs and contemporary carpets has no equals in terms of size and beauty. This is why our rug continue to be present on the pages of the best magazines in the interior design industry, such as Architectural Digest and of course legendary Elle Decor. Doris Leslie Blau carries an exceptional collection of original modern rugs in many styles and materials. Contemporary hand-made rugs are a bridge throughout history, they are the fruit of the constant evolution of the weaving craft that has accompanied men since the dawn of civilization.
