Description
This beautiful contemporary black and white abstract rug draws the attention not only thanks to its stunning design, but also superb craftsmanship. Hand knotted using high quality blend of wool and silk, the carpet is not only durable, but also delightfully soft to touch. The pattern featured on the pile is certainly fascinating. Seemingly random scribbles on the bare background look as if they once were part of a greater composition that was destroyed by time. Color palette seems to further highlight this - delicate black on pure white looks almost like a piece of precious marble. Known around the world for 50 years as one of the most elite rug dealers in antique and vintage rugs, Doris Leslie Blau also offers a wide variety of new carpets and custom area large modern area rugs for sale. Some of the new outdoor rugs that we produce are inspired by antique carpets and feature timeless designs. From magnificent Persian rugs, through wonderful Turkish and exotic Indian or Chinese creations, to elegant and fabulous European-inspired carpets, we are able to recreate absolutely any grand design. Doris Leslie Blau carries an exceptional collection of original modern rugs in many styles and materials. Contemporary hand-made rugs are a bridge throughout history, they are the fruit of the constant evolution of the weaving craft that has accompanied men since the dawn of civilization.
