Description
Sultanabad rugs distinguish themselves from other Persian styles with a wider and suppler weave which results in slightly less meticulous and bigger motifs. The new rug before your eyes, although presently made, reflects the traditional Sultanabad craftsmanship. Both its main field and the border carry a botanical pattern with stylized acanthus leaves, flower heads, palmettes and flowering climbers. This lush thicket is rendered in a pastel color palette of beige, light blue and brown with accents of navy, slate and extinguished red. The gentle character of the nature-related design and the serene coloration make this contemporary rug an ideal complement to a wide gamut of decors, no matter if classic or state-of-the-art. The Sultanabad rug can boast of excellent workmanship. It was carefully hand-knotted of the finest wool by an apt artisan. Such thorough making has ensured its durability, resilience and uniqueness. Under the condition of proper maintenance, it will surely serve its owners for generations, being a graceful and elegant touch to any interior. Modern, custom and contemporary rugs by Doris Leslie Blau are made with upmost care and precision to ensure their enduring beauty and quality. We rely solely on natural materials and hand-workmanship because we clearly realize the power that lies in individual approach and traditional methods. To find out more, browse our website or visit one of our galleries. We are always at your disposal. Doris Leslie Blau carries an exceptional collection of original modern rugs in many styles and materials. Contemporary hand-made rugs are a bridge throughout history, they are the fruit of the constant evolution of the weaving craft that has accompanied men since the dawn of civilization.
