Description
This antique, circa 1890, hand-woven Serab Persian rug has an ivory field with a light brown vertical trellis of linked paired both around diagonal rows of spaced serrated light blue and sandy-brown lozenges and part lozenges with leaf pendants each containing a central rosette issuing and surrounded by angular leaf motifs and flowerhead, in a light blue border of brick-red meandering vine linking polychrome palmettes and floral sprays between ivory brick-red and sea-blue meandering floral vine stripes.
