A noble and elegant African blue wildebeest rug or carpet from the British Colonial era in Kenya. Blue Wildebeest are known beautiful and subtle color range of their hides. The natural hide has mostly shades of grays that have a bluish sheen and is striped. There are also shades of browns, tans, with hints of golds and a black mane and tail. The overall appearance is soft, subtle, warm and comforting. The hide is lined with a felt backing and the piece is also suitable to hang on a wall as tapestry, sculpture or wall decoration. Its majesty can rival the works of important abstract artists. Whether it is used on the wall or floor, it is a beautiful and transcendent object which imparts the spirit of this noble beast.
