Vintage Chinese Deco Rug, a mid-20th century vintage Chinese art Deco rug, Circa: 1940, Origin: China. Chinese deco represent a merger between the East and the West in terms of carpet craftsmanship. The value of this piece is visible at first glance. High knot density, along with great quality wool constitute a guarantee of durability. Sumptuous floral motifs, typical to the early Chinese deco period, encircle a plain, rectangular medallion. The combination of simplicity and complexity gives an extremely consistent and balanced effect. The color palette, composed of warm, delicate shades of beige, is revitalized thanks to flower accents in different shades of blue. The outer secondary borders are trimmed with a dark chocolate belt, closing the antique carpet in its eclectic form.
