Midcentury Scandinavian flatwoven wool rug designed by Judith Johansson (1916-1993). It bares her initials JJ at one corner. The design is called "Soldis" (Sun Haze).
Successive rows of geometric shapes in pastel multi colors on a heathered cream background give a modern look to this timeless piece.
Inspired by traditional Northern European crafts and culture, vintage Scandinavian rugs skillfully combine past with future.
