Description
A Swedish hand woven wool rug designed by Carl Dangel, bearing the artist's initials at a corner (CD). It is in excellent original condition, consistent with age. The design was inspired by traditional Northern European crafts, culture, and nature. It alternates rows of undulating blue streaks, reminiscent of Scandinavian rivers, with floating stylized floral and animal elements. The all around gray border repeats the field design. The Scandinavian style enchants with its unpretentious elegance.
