Description
A modern, hand-knotted wool rug with traditional Moroccan geometric motifs. In North African tribal design, a diamond symbolizes protection against the Evil Eye. The rug carries a grid of diamond medallions pattern with floral-heads embraced by borders of meandering floral and leafy vines and further geometric borders. The pattern is colored in light blue against a beige background. Moroccan rugs, in their variety of textures, colors, and designs have stood the test of time. They are a classic staple in both classic and modern interiors. Our modern Moroccan rugs are handmade by artisans in small, specialized workshops, following the centuries-old tradition. They are handmade of natural undyed wool or of wool colored with natural dyes. Their designs are either of vintage tribal inspiration or traditional with an original twist, designs exclusive to Doris Leslie Blau.
