Description
Wall tapestry made of natural fibres, freely inspired by Alexander Calder’s tapestries, made from sisal ropes assembled and glued by hand on a burlap. Pointed hanging, delivered flat without frame.
In this tapestry in rope and sisal, Chantal Mommejac sculpts the raw material in an abstract procession. The fibers intertwine and draw refined forms, both anchored and in motion, like silhouettes charged with an inner light. Through the play of textures, the work explores the dialogue between weight and lightness, matter and light, translating a silent quest for elevation. -
