Antique Persian Khorassan rugs and carpets visually sing in vibrant, pastel and monochromatic colors. The medallion and field are comprised of a series of symmetrical Persian design patterns in the shapes of leafs, interlacing branches and floral designs. This antique carpet features a field backdrop color hue of earth tone sandy-brown. The visually enthralling tapestry field is accented with spindly, light blue, white and blue floral arabesque accents throughout. The guard border propagates the field's chroma scheme and is further buttressed by palmette stamped thinner borders. The main border features a dark backdrop overlain with another densely intertwined array of floral designs. The hyper-regal, nature-themed all over arabesque design motifs of this rug reveals its historical caliber. The outer border of this Persian Khorassan rug continues another interlocking floral pattern.
