Description
This antique, Sultanabad rug dates back to circa 1900 and is hand-knotted out of wool. Its color palette features navy, red, blue, beige and tan with the first two being predominant. The main border is broad, with a rich pattern consisting of palmettes, angular vine, floral and leaves. There are additional narrow, three inner and two outer borders with the ornament and flower patterns. The main field itself features palmettes and angular vines, leaves and floral motifs.
