A hand-knotted wool antique Persian Sultanabad rug dating back to circa 1920. The design consists of a grid of stylized enlarged medallions and delicate florals enclosed within an equally compelling series of borders with palmettes, scrolling vines and and floral ornaments. The rug is rendered in beige, taupe, blue, light brick, sage and navy.
