Description
This small hand-woven Baluch rug has a central field with two columns of five shaded blue panels containing alternating fox-brown central hooked lozenges and diamond shaped lozenges flanked by small square motifs in each corner, a narrow ivory band below and shaded blue band through the centre, each with stellar flowerheads, stylised animals and hooked floral motifs, in a narrow shaded blue border with cruciform and stellar flowerheads between floral leafy vine stripes, plain fox-brown and blue plain stripes at each end.
