Description
-Manufactured by Fabrica de Alfombras y Tapices de Santa Marta de Magasca, Cáceres
-Provenance: Private French collection
-This rare artistic rug, Carré rouge Carré blanc by Sonia Delaunay distills her simultanist vision into a bold dialogue of color and form. Through the direct contrast of red and white squares, Delaunay explores how color relationships alone can create rhythm, tension, and spatial movement. The work exemplifies her belief that color, when placed in dynamic opposition, becomes an active, structural force rather than a decorative element. -
