A mid-century, Swedish flat-weave wool rug made by Ingegerd Silow with woven initials (IS) at a corner. It is in excellent original condition, consistent with age. The stepped medallions with crosses arranged in the shape of a wide border are the main focus of the otherwise geometric design. Its masterfully composed color palette is filled with shades of blue, lavender, yellow, beige and light green. Hand-woven from the highest quality materials, this Swedish rug encompasses the love for tradition and the excellent craftsmanship of Scandinavian design.
