This vintage Swedish flat-weave wool rug by Brigitta Solderkvist with woven initials (BS) at a corner constitutes the essence of Scandinavian craftsmanship. Both its execution and design exhibit timeless qualities. The open field features softly gradated striations in blue shades running selvage to selvage blending seamlessly from one to the next. A wide beige geometric border composed of traditional Northern motifs of crosses, rectangles and squares takes the central stage. The rug is rendered in blue, salmon pink, orche, beige and ivory.
