Accolay Turquoise Striated Pitcher
-
Description
Hand-thrown in the celebrated Burgundy village of Accolay, this tall stoneware pitcher epitomises French studio ceramics of the early 1950s. The body of the vase features a combed, vertical texture and a flared collar anchored by a sculptural, looped handle applied in one fluid movement. The stunning luminous turquoise glaze, withe subtle mottling and charcoal speckles are hallmarks of Accolay’s experimental kilns.
